Princess wishes for 28th birthday

i know this is kinda of thick skinned but can i remind people that my birthday is approaching in less than 7 days! ok to be more straight forward my bday is next tues - 3rd march and it's time for presents..hmzz what do i want this year. previously people gave me books, discs and hmzz hello kitty stuff. But this year, can i don't want these stuff. actually right now i don't have anything in mind. i seriously don't lack anything @ the moment..so people if you wanna drop me a gift i would appreciate the following:

1) Gift vouchers. Yeah to many gift vouchers seems like a lack of sincerity. But that's what i want. Don't get me from a particular shop pls..i much prefer isetan, capitalland, centrepoint, takashimaya, tangs etc.

2) Flowers. My favourite would be sunflowers. But lilies and roses are fine as well. Please don't send to my office on the actual day ok? Cause i am on leave! ok my office address is as follows:

after 5 months of not buying a bag..i finally got myself one. the last bag i bought was in sep'08. people pls..i don't have alot of bags. my bags are countable. plus i bought a very retro handphone holder from myphosis. machiam like the 80s with pokka dots.

some how i really want to blog about this.. i think sometime in nov'08 i wrote about my thing with this guy..and about the forgiveness thingy. in fact there are still happenings now. but don't worry its good stuff.

slight after new year 2009. he sms me again..if i don't remember wrongly the msg reads "happy new year. how are you. thinking about you." my initial reaction -> what bullshit. Sorry for the vulgarness lah but that was running through my mind. i was thinking whether to reply anot. so being the nice and polite me (ahem as usual) i replied:

"my new year has been greater without you. by the way pls do not tell me you are thinking about me because if you have time to do that you must be damn free during the peak. pls go think about other girls. Kindly do not look for me anymore. this msg needs no reply."

Indeed as usual no reply. I thought that was good enough to get rid of him. but guess what? just last sat. this "shameless" guy sms me and it reads:

"what ya doing?"

my initial reaction-> crazy jerk. my reply "you r??" well then i thought..hmzz as an auditor doesn't he understands simple english of PLEASE DO NOT LOOK FOR ME ANYMORE!

however, through this 2 sms 1 thing i am very sure of -> i have gotten over him! YIPEE!! in the past whenever he sms me i was like @ his disposal. Understand what is @ the beck and call? yes that was what i was. But now hee i know its finally over. :)

for those who know me long enough..i definitely ain't classified as a prayer warrior..in fact throughout my whole christian life i don't really like praying. sometimes i don't know what to talk to God. i simply hate those prayer chain. the reason is because when i was a younger christian, during those prayer chain i always hear people pray loud loud, long long and very cheem..while i always soft soft, short short and very simple. back in my mind i wonder "is my prayer as powerful as theirs anot? or will God hear me since i am so soft?" so all through my christian walk i hate it when i have to pray in big groups. i hate it even more when during service the pastor says :" grab someone next to you and pray for each other."

whahhaa i will pretend go toilet or just ignore. i don't like prayer meets as well. coz i simply don't know and don't like to pray alot. but deep within i know its important.

but things change..4 months ago..i began to swim twice weekly. in fact during the swimming sessions are my extended prayer time. well for someone who hasn't been swimming for 2 years to swim 20 laps isn't an easy feet! usually the first 10 laps are easy but the next 10 laps is a test of stamina..so my shepherd taught me.."why don't you pray for people while you swim?"

so i have been trying that and it worked..now for 10 laps i pray for 10 different things. usually i start off with thanking God, then i pray for myself, then i pray for my cg (for unity, leaders, people), then i pray for my sheep and etc..

so in fact after these 4 months though i still don't like praying in big groups but i don't resist praying that much anymore. not bad eh?? but pls people don't overload me with prayer requests though i don't mind extending 2-4 laps just for you. :p

Happy belated Valentine's day to all! Well i am still single for this valentine day but i spent it very happily :) and best i was totally drained out by 8pm. Sorry no romantic dinner, no flowers. Yes i did have a HOT date and i mean real hot..i was @ botanic gardens and re-ceeing the place @ 3pm..how can it not be hot?? Talking about botanic gardens its been like > 10 years i've not been to the place. My favourite "house" is still there. It really brings back memories of my childhood whereby my parents would bring my brother and I there..:)

This valentine day is spent with my new unit. People pls...whoever said that valentine day is meant for just lovers??? its meant for friends as well! I am so glad some couples sacrifice their lovey dovey time to be with the unit and i really thank everyone who came and made this event a success. of couse i would specially love to thank my sheep -frieska and my shepherd -joel for helping me with the sandwiches. for those who came..your presence is already a great support. An uninvited guest 不速之客

just a few days ago my mum was telling me early in the morning. i think there are "things" coming to our house biting and eating on the food stuff. my reaction was "are you sure? show me evidence." then she pointed out to the plastic bags. but the thought in my mind was aiyah maybe lizards or cockroaches only.

Then yesterday my mum showed me again damages done to the milk powder and my brother's nutrition stuff. The uninvited guest actually bite on the tin can and went inside to eat the powder. finally my mum bought this trap and hanged a "bak kwa" there to trap this uninvited guest which she says she is inviting the "xiao jie" to come and take a seat in my house.

The uninvited guest as expected and guess what it fell for the trap. The minute it jumped in to eat the "bak kwa" its trapped and 1 big piece of "bak kwa" it didn't even finish a quarter of it..before sending it to its grave i decided to take some pictures of this uninvited guest.

yesterday my avp came to me and told me that i am already confirmed as at 28 Jan 2009 but due to the festive season and everyone was not around the past few days so they only told me i was confirmed yesterday. In fact i was pleasantly surprised @ the comments which he and my senior fm both agreed:

"meiming is independent and needs little guidance. She is also neat and organised in her work."

not bad eh?? i was really very happy about the comments but then again can i voice something out? In fact many times i really hope i am given a little more work. Sometimes i feel so free in fact too free. I wish i have more things to handle :) I know it sounds kinda of crazy to many people out there but i really feel i have much more talents to be used. In fact often @ times i feel i am "under used" at work. I always believe i am capable of handling more stuff! hiaks hiaks..anyway i am real happy that i am confirmed now... PTL!

oh ya 1 more thing to add.. my avp treated a few of us to "lo hei" yesterday due to the CNY and guess what i officially became the "auntie" who knows how to say the auspicious things..not bad eh..and now my colleagues started asking me how to say. Next year CNY, i can go earn extra $$ liao

Chinese New Year 2009

Its day 7 of the Lunar New year and for the chinese its called the 人日 which also means its everybody's birthday. new year this year is slightly different. received very little ang pows not because of my age but because my grandfather passed away last october so 100 days not over and we can't exchange ang pows though we can still have visitations. the arrangement of visitations were also slightly different from the previous years.

Day 1:
I didn't visit my nanny because she told us not to go over because of my grandfather death. but i just called her and wish her happy new year and thanked her for the cookies she made. In the past, we used to gather @ my paternal grand parents place but this year its held @ my house. Relatives arrived as early as 11am. I was told that in future, it would be on a rotation basis and would be potluck. Not bad in fact i love visitations :) hiaks hiaks. As usual, CNY is black jack time. I ain't an avid gambler but i do play for the fun of it and this whole new year i am on the losing streak!! darn! At about 2+, while my paternal side relatives were still @ my place, my brother, mum and me headed off to my uncle's place (mum's brother) house to gather. its a good time because i saw my cousin (andy) whom i have not seen for @ least 2 years. Few of my cousins are residing in HK now. While i also catch up with the girls to "bitch". The cousins gathered and played black jack again with my uncle as the banker. And my uncle won like 400+ from us..

Day 2:

Not much happenings.. I just headed to Jeff and Sylvia house. I promised Sylvia that i be there coz i fly aeroplane during xmas..am glad i manage to find the place and i must admit it was quite challenging as i ain't really familiar with serangoon gardens area. Played black jack and bacarrat there as well.. the stakes there were much higher but i know i won't go beyond my means.

Day 3:

work resumed and i felt like 1/2 dead from the late nights the past 2 days. After work, headed to my auntie's place @ river valley for dinner and of coz..the cousins wanted to 反本　from my uncle who won so much from us the other day. Guess what..we managed to and we played cards till about 11+. By the time we got home it was about 12+ and by the time i zzzzz....already 2+ not bad sia..

Day 4 and 5 not much happening. just that my brother friends came over to my house to gamble on day 4. Yesterday, brother, lingli and i headed to Kevin's place. Ling li played mahjong and wee stayed till about 1+...i am real exhausted and by the time brother and i got home was about 2+. slept @ 3+ and guess what this morning have to wake up @ 1030 to head to Mandai as it's my late yeye's 100 days. After the session this morning, the family headed for lunch and subsequently each headed home...and i am damn drained of all my energy by afternoon. slept for a while and went out for a hair cut @ 4pm.. I think this ends my CNY for this week. I have more appointments coming up in the following week...can't believe i am so packed for this CNY and by day 7 i already have ate "yu sheng" for 5 times..gosh!

just back from a friend's place and feeling damn blardy pissed with someone. while @ my friend's place i receive a sms from this guy. i think i won't even call him "brother". i will just refer him as mr a. Even the first msg was hell of rude. Wonder what got over his puny brain. He said he was pissed that i asked this girl who her bf was. Darn. First of all, i want him to get it right and straight into his brain : I DIDN'T DELIBRATELY CALL HER UP AND ASK HER WHO HER BF WAS!!!! GET IT STRAIGHT AND I DON'T WISH TO REPEAT MYSELF!!!! the girl was the one who called me to talk and she started asking me about my love life..then i ask her back and i don't see anything wrong with it. If you see anything wrong with me asking her who her bf is then in the first place when you even see her don't tell people about it and keep your mouth shut lah. pretend that you never see.

The worst of all this Mr a called me names. The "bestest" thing is..he is seen as a mr nice guy in church! Damn DL with this guy. well since you call me names i shall let you know what i have always felt about you even though i have not spoken it out mr loser, mr act popular, mr act brainy and mr poser. let me tell you this 随都有资格讲我，只有你没有 because you are even more brainless than me!!!
