with love, from europe
Friday, May 28, 2010 |11:47 PM

As mentioned, my brother and sister in law are currently in Europe enjoying their honeymoon. In fact, right now when I am blogging this, they are actually on their flight back to Singapore. Ohh..how i miss them. My sis in law was telling me how good a guide my brother is..and how they have been totally "churched out" in Europe and how good the shopping is..and of coz..she showed me this photos. It actually belongs to 3 ladies..and my brother said I am the biggest loser coz i only have 2 items while the other 2 have 3 each..but nevertheless...presenting what we call "our loves from europe"

4 Louis Vuittons, 1 Gucci, 1 Prada and 2 Miu Miu.

yay! end of course!

After a gruelling 5 days...today is finally the last day of our "Customer Service Professional" Course. Many of us were very happy because I think most of felt that the course was a little too long and there were too much activities and it was overwhelming. But I guess most of my course mates have the same takeaway feeling as me-> Despite the "shiong" 5 days, the course on the overall is fun coz we got to know people whom we have never met or people whom we see but do not know in the office. Kudos to everyone in the course who made all these possible. :)))

Yesterday, was the final day for my team to serve the rest of the people in the class. Well, by yesterday we were actually running low of ideas. In the end..we decide to do a pool side event and of coz we put what we learnt into practice-> "live entertainment".

Remember in my earlier post, I blogged about a 帅哥 seating next to me in class? yap he is the one.

Everyone was mesmerized with his singing. New venue, refreshing ambience. Yap but I agree it was a little too hot

And before we could end off our last day..some of my course mates still have another project..and because everyone was simply just out of ideas. They decided to do it here. Yes its the roof top of the building! What creativity..and being the KPO me..I snap photos of their hard work.

Nicely decorated right? They only took 15 mins to do all these which includes moving of all the furniture.

There's a story behind this. We were split into 4 groups with 4 different pictures and all the jigsaw puzzles of the 4 pictures were messed up. We have to exchange with other groups to form the picture. And my grp sent me as the "exchanger". The class ended up snatching each other pieces. And with 1 of my group mate being "super hiong" he snatch other group pictures and we were the first to complete it.

yes! Graduation Ceremony..We had to plan it ourselves

Rehersal for our graduation ceremony.

The class had to nominate the "best learner" award and of coz it goes to the most "siao onz" person in our class!! Haha. I thought I was the only one who felt this way but i heard people telling her the same thing. Well but she really deserves it.

Lastly...my team mates for the whole course-> Yaowei, Myself, Joanne, Lay Gan & Kok Chee.

Goliath of my life, overdued & aftermath
Sunday, May 23, 2010 |9:01 PM

3 things I want to blog about:

Weekends fly past in a flash of light while weekdays seemingly tend to pass very slowly. Perhaps because I always feel very bored down by my work. I enjoy my work but sometimes during my busy-ness, i do feel very "discounted". Putting work aside, today I went for the CG QT. Not that I don't go often. In fact, I do wish to go but many times "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak." Today, while in service, the Pastor was preaching about "Life Modelling" and the character was David. Of all that was preached, 1 thing stuck in my mind--> "Having the courage to face the Goliath of my life". When the Pastor said this "Goliath of your life", 1 person immediately came into my mind and I wrote that person's name down. I guess I am quite fortunate that the person who was seated next to me didn't see the name of whom I wrote. After an incident that happened sometime ago, I know till date, I haven't have the courage to face this Goliath. It's not that its impossible, but everytime I see this person, I just don't feel like talking. For many out there, going for CG, CG QT, service etc is an easy feet, but for myself each time I decide to go, it actually takes alot out courage out of me. Someone mentioned that I am getting cryptic recently, and this the first time I am sharing this which probably was never mentioned to anyone. After the incident, every week, its a tough decision process (the whole week through) if I want to go for CG. To face the 'Goliath of my life' on a weekly basis, its 1 of the toughest decision. I've gone through CG tore apart, all my friends left, many times when I just feel like calling it quits but nothing is as tough as the decision to stay on and face this. Many times for the past few months, more often than not the feeling of wanting to be a 逃兵 floods me. But I know for sure 1 thing about myself is this-> I am not as emotional as people perceive me to be.

2) Next post is something which is overdued but not long overdue.(Well i still blog it in the month it happened.) My brother is married!! After about a year of preparation, my brother got married on 9 May 2010. I am officially the only unmarried child at home. I have mixed feelings about him getting married. While I am happy for him, I also know my brother will have divided attention. In the past, as a single but attached brother, I have privileges of getting him to buy stuff, fetching me and I can also intrude into his room and just sleep on his bed. But I know as a married brother, I can no longer do such things. *boo*. As his faithful sister who helps him look into the details while he and my 大嫂 were preparing for the Big Day, I am glad everything went on smoothly. Our family are also very thankful for all our friends & relatives who flew in for the wedding and all the generous giving. Some pictures to share of the wedding->

Prepared specially for the groom and the brothers. When I saw this, I was like "easy feet". If they meet me as 1 of the sisters, hahha..where got so easy??

Wasabi with Chilli Padi on biscuits! They didn't know my brother loves Wasabi..haha

All charged up! Brothers and sisters with the couple

Thanks to all the helpful friends who helped run the whole show for them the whole day which includes James, Luhan, Kevin, Gary, OCC and Desmond.

My pretty 大嫂

Ling's sister, Joey and my brother. She was telling me that she's happy that her sister married a good husband. :p

The couple with the sisters. Thanks to the sisters that helped out that day. It's not an easy task.

While we were waiting for the couple to be back to our house, the cousins decide to snap a picture together. My partenal side, cousins.

notice someone is missing from the pic?

The lovely couple posing with the bridal car @ my house garage.

Can you feel the joy on their faces? Ling is all smiles, but my brother looked a little tired.

and we have 2 little ones who "rolled" on the bed. Ethan & Junya!

Time to serve tea for the parents.

My parents were all smiles :) in receiving ling into our family.

and its my turn to serve it to my brother.

Dad's siblings with all their spouses.

Mum's siblings with all their spouses.

Brothers & Sisters taken with the couple. This time taken @ my place.

We have a lovely Tasha with Ling.

After a whole morning of customary traditions, I was glad to be given an hour break to take a nap and we proceeded for their ROM and banquet..
Ling looks intensely as my brother puts his signature down. My brother was joking with me that while Ling signs her life away, he signs his assets away. And I told him...Wrong! At this moment, you've only signed your liabilities. What assets are you talking about?

JP was briefing them and everyone was focusing their attention on the couple.

Ling wearing the ring for him. In fact, my brother loves the ring, telling me that it has the design of the " "Mazda". Ling even told me that he enjoys wearing the ring.

Ling's turn to wear the ring.

The deal is sealed. Commitment of a lifetime.

Mum was gleefully signing her son away. She told me she's so glad that a burden is lifted off her shoulders and she can't wait to off load me as well.

the moment.

the parents and now 亲家

Self explanatory

Taken out of their wedding album. This was taken @ Lunar.

Friends & Relatives who arrived early.

Banquet venue. See the red sash? My mum's idea. We had an overflow of guests coz the initial table that we were suppose to have is 30 tables but it came up to a total of 36 tables.

Champange pouring. They looked lovely don't they? I love her gown. It was kind of a last min decision to have this gown and they stayed @ the bridal studio till late few days before the wedding to have this altered.

Let it flow..let it flow.

Ok. this caught me by surprise. I was talking to my brother a few days before the wedding and we were discussing if he's going to have a speech and he say maybe a short one. But amazingly, he wrote a super long & meaningful one. I was caught by surprise that my brother will write something that has depth in it. Well..he's a thinker just like me.

and he toasted his beautiful bride for willingly entrusting her life with him.

my 3 aunties. Well the thing is this. Though we are of a different generation but I can talk to my aunties as well. From left to right: Auntie Stephanie, Auntie Elaine & Auntie Mirabel.

My dad's friends who didn't let my brother off the hook so easily and knowing my brother, he's not a spoilsport and he willing drank with them.

Katie! 1 of my cousins kids. I wished I can have a nephew/niece soon :p

Myself with Chelsea.

Sending our guests off. Dad was super hospitable.

When most of the crowd left, I decided to snap a little more photos of my mum. The very first time, I see her all dressed up. With Auntie and Auntie Mirabel. (Auntie Mirabel is a lady whom I respect alot). Many of my relatives say I have a striking resemblance to her. In terms of looks and character when she was in her 20s.

3) Lastly, now that my brother is married and with them staying with us for the next 2 years. I got to make way. Yes, I was told to make way for 大嫂. In fact, I just threw away lots of old shoes and my mum was like 早就应该丢了。。best. But after my 大嫂 unpack her shoes, i guess my mum probably realises that there isn't enough space. Imagine a house with 3 woman. Where got enough. Soon after..we got this:

new shoe rack! whahhaaa...
Earlier I mentioned that some of my relatives flew in specially for my brother's wedding and Auntie Mirabel was 1 of them. Yesterday all of us sent her off to the airport and it was rather emotional. We missed her coz she's permanently based in Sydney. And while we were chatting @ the airport, a few of the cousins did this to the little one->

Put Junya on the weighing machine and he weighs 11kg. Approximately, the weight of a sack of rice.

As for the closure, while the newlyweds are honeymooning in Europe. As a sister, how can i let them off the hook so easily? The places that they visit like Rome, Sorrento, Florence, Venice and Paris..How can i missed this out!. I've placed my orders..

Prada bag!

another view of the prada bag. nice!
