Its day 7 of the Lunar New year and for the chinese its called the 人日 which also means its everybody's birthday. new year this year is slightly different. received very little ang pows not because of my age but because my grandfather passed away last october so 100 days not over and we can't exchange ang pows though we can still have visitations. the arrangement of visitations were also slightly different from the previous years.

Day 1:
I didn't visit my nanny because she told us not to go over because of my grandfather death. but i just called her and wish her happy new year and thanked her for the cookies she made. In the past, we used to gather @ my paternal grand parents place but this year its held @ my house. Relatives arrived as early as 11am. I was told that in future, it would be on a rotation basis and would be potluck. Not bad in fact i love visitations :) hiaks hiaks. As usual, CNY is black jack time. I ain't an avid gambler but i do play for the fun of it and this whole new year i am on the losing streak!! darn! At about 2+, while my paternal side relatives were still @ my place, my brother, mum and me headed off to my uncle's place (mum's brother) house to gather. its a good time because i saw my cousin (andy) whom i have not seen for @ least 2 years. Few of my cousins are residing in HK now. While i also catch up with the girls to "bitch". The cousins gathered and played black jack again with my uncle as the banker. And my uncle won like 400+ from us..

Not much happenings.. I just headed to Jeff and Sylvia house. I promised Sylvia that i be there coz i fly aeroplane during xmas..am glad i manage to find the place and i must admit it was quite challenging as i ain't really familiar with serangoon gardens area. Played black jack and bacarrat there as well.. the stakes there were much higher but i know i won't go beyond my means.

work resumed and i felt like 1/2 dead from the late nights the past 2 days. After work, headed to my auntie's place @ river valley for dinner and of coz..the cousins wanted to 反本　from my uncle who won so much from us the other day. Guess what..we managed to and we played cards till about 11+. By the time we got home it was about 12+ and by the time i zzzzz....already 2+ not bad sia..

Day 4 and 5 not much happening. just that my brother friends came over to my house to gamble on day 4. Yesterday, brother, lingli and i headed to Kevin's place. Ling li played mahjong and wee stayed till about 1+...i am real exhausted and by the time brother and i got home was about 2+. slept @ 3+ and guess what this morning have to wake up @ 1030 to head to Mandai as it's my late yeye's 100 days. After the session this morning, the family headed for lunch and subsequently each headed home...and i am damn drained of all my energy by afternoon. slept for a while and went out for a hair cut @ 4pm.. I think this ends my CNY for this week. I have more appointments coming up in the following week...can't believe i am so packed for this CNY and by day 7 i already have ate "yu sheng" for 5 times..gosh!
