Merry Christmas to all! Currently @ my aunt's place for a family gathering, our usual family tradition on Christmas Day itself. While my other family members are sleeping/playing mahjong, here I am blogging away of the events that took place yesterday. Firstly, my company declared half day for us. Half day means we end work at 1230. But thanks to the budget deadline, till 3+ some of us were slogging away in the office. Thankfully, my avp and manager decided to have a cut-off and by 330pm since our India counterparts weren't ready, we decided to leave. The best thing was that my AVP sent us out to Clementi, so it was easier to get home from there. Reached home, grabbed a 15 mins nap, showered and headed out again.
Met the cg up at Suntec Convention @ 630pm. Our church Xmas service this year was held @ Suntec Convention Centre - Hall 603. The best thing was our unit had quite a number of visitors. But the thing which I was quite upset was the friends whom I invited can't come. :((( most of them either have parties or are not in town. Nonetheless, still got chance one. So here we go to recall the events of Christmas eve 2009.
After the service, the unit had a game which was organised by Frieska, Sophie, Mervin, Shi Hong and led by Jeremy & Yanjie. The game was that Santa has been kidnapped and we were supposed to find him/her. But before we can find him/her, we were suppose to go get food from Chai Chee. So, our group decided to come here--> Bedok 85. After buying the food @ Bedok 85, we then headed to Pasir Ris Costa Sands and got together as a unit to celebrate Christmas. Played some games and had the gift exchange and of course we all ate the food that everyone bought. Soon after, some left the place @ 1+ while others stayed on.
As for myself, i went to sleep @ around 2+ to 3 till I was woken up by some "loud speaking guys" and couldn't continue sleeping anymore. Then I decided to drive home to sleep. Can you believe I woke up @ 4+am and drove all the way from Pasir Ris to Holland Road in a sleepy state? Well I made it home and slept from 5am all the way to 10+ in the morning. Headed out again @ about 12 to my Aunt's place @ Simei, sent my sheep off @ Changi @ 8pm and now i am home..before I K.O. sharing the pictures of Christmas 2009-->
Finally!!! It's the last wedding of the year! Yeah can't imagine I've gone through like 5 weddings in less than a month's span. The one that got the ball rolling was Guangan & Xiaoli, followed by Kowee & Sileas, Reynard & Ashley, Jerry & Huifen and today Dennis & Ruth. I guess besides me smiling happily, Dennis is also a happy man because after a long season of singlehood, he finally got into courtship and now marriage. Haha! Dennis is a friend whom I've known ages back..hmzz think since 2003 when I first step into Hope and joined the ushering ministry. Today while the way to the wedding with Shireen, we were saying "Finally! Dennis is married. Probably the people we are going to see at the wedding are all the old timers (the better phase is the older generation)." True enough. Lots of familiar faces. It was also a wedding whereby there were loads of food. :)
The picture speaks for itself. Guangrong is very smart looking lo. Dennis saying his vow.
Ruth's turn and she said it in Mandarin. It really wasn't easy.
Pastor praying for the couple.
This is the moment..Dennis was waiting for..Kiss the Bride!

Announcing their walk in as Mr & Mrs Goh
Ruth giving her thank you speech which was quite short and sweet.
while Dennis "whip" out his script and thank many people and talked alot. This is one of the few times I see him talk so much.
and while waiting for our turn for the photo taking.we decided to take some photos of ourselves first. Huiyang & Shireen
Shireen & Myself. We were late for the wedding by only 15 mins and didn't expect it to start so punctually. Ended up the 2 of us walked behind the bride.
We made Lawrence helped us take a photo since we are still waiting in line. Imagine we belong to Group 17! ok that wraps up my wedding for the whole of 2009. Till next year..bye!
