My first post of 2010! Wonder why it only happened on 2nd Jan? Well because I wasn't in Singapore yesterday and so wasn't accessible to internet. But I am so so glad to be back at home.

Yesterday, some friends of mine were sharing about our regrets/unforgettable moments in 2009 and this morning we were sharing about our New Year resolutions. But I think I missed out on what are the things that I am thankful for in the past year. So here it goes, 2 things only:

1) In late 2008, this brother (in church) and I had a conflict. In fact, this brother is quite "close" to me as we have known each other for a number of years and went through quite abit of ups and downs together. But through some "dumb" things, which we used harsh words on each other. We somehow had a "cold war". To make things worst, both of us are in the same sub-district and have many common friends. But during the church camp last year, the final night was the altar call night. Then there was this part of "forgiveness" and making up with someone in the church who have offended you. This brother's face keep "flashing" in front of me. I wanted to look for him immediately after the altar call but as I couldn't find him, as I got back to Sg the next day from camp. I sms-ed him and BINGO! We made up. :))) I really thank God that this happened because it has brought us closer to each other as friends as well.

2) Mid this year, I referred an ex colleague of mine into my current company. (she's the same position as me but we are dealing with different countries financials). This ex colleague of mine is someone whom I never thought I would ever ever be close to. In fact, we had common friends, worked together in the same group but just that we never really have the chance to know each other. She always had the impression that I am a "xiao jie xiao jie" who always like expensive stuff while i always have the thought that "nah..she's not the type whom I can talk to." But as we spend mot time together, we start to have deeper conversations..and so..now the once "xiao jie xiao jie" who always like expensive stuff impresssion is gone!! yes long gone.. because she can actually tell others "meiming is someone who is not as xiao jie as you portray her to be. She goes for cheap stuff as well." hahah cheap stuff what a way to put it! But yes I am so glad that we were given the chance to know each other better.
