Bangkok Get Away (060310 - 090310)

I'm back, not with a big bang and an extremely large, overfilled luggage. In fact, I'm back with a sore throat. All thanks to half a can of Pringles potato chips that I conquered single handedly. *hurhur*. Thank God, I am back safely after much hassle of arranging this trip with my future sis-in-law. All the while, I thought a shopping spree trip would be much easier to organise than a sight seeing one. But how wrong I am!!! From the booking of air tickets to accomodation, it wasn't a simple feat. But well, I conquered all this! Our trip was supposed to be from 12 Mar - 15 Mar, but thanks to news of the Red shirts who are going to rally in Bangkok during that period which we originally planned, after much discussion, we brought the trip forward a week earlier. It was a trip that my family members felt so much unrest and I was also very disturbed by them. (I just can't understand why are they so worried when my mum didn't even fear so much when she sent me away overseas when I was even younger). Oh well...I am finally back safe and sound and returned my future sis-in-law to my brother in 1 good piece.

People @ Chatuchak

Sashimi looks good huh? My favourite consisting of salmon, yellow tail and tuna. Texture is good coz its thick.

My order, Sashimi Set.

After a tired day spent @ Chatuchak, Ling enjoying her Chawamushi.

Ling's order-> The usual stuff: Chicken Teriyaki Set

Ling still looks ok though she's very hungry.

While waiting for the arrival of my food. I looked shag from the shopping.

Fried rice with egg. The portion wasn't quite enough for Ling.

How can I give Tom Yum Soup a miss when I am in Bkk? Looks Spicy ah? Yes it is, indeed.

Grilled Squids. Nothing fantastic. We didn't finish it though.

Our shark's fin @ Baht 300.

Half eaten. *gosh* the 2 of us ordered so much.

Bird's Nest at Baht 200. It was so sweet that we had to add ice cubes to it.

The remainder of the Tom Yum Soup

Our finished & unfinished food. The meal costs us Baht 970.

The night view @ China Town at Bangkok. I just lurveee Neon Lights. Too bad no Bill Boards

After the last A & W restaurant closed down in Singapore years ago, its always a joy to be able to enjoy an A & W meal and we found this in Bangkok. Root Beer Float and Curly fries early in the morning.

I realise from this photo that I ain't much taller than the A & W Bear. *Oh gosh*

While crossing the bridge from Platinum Fashion Mall back to our Hotel. The streets of Bangkok, on a good day.

Guess who's feet is this? Chose this color cause its very striking!

Showcasing the no. of belts I bought.

Our morning breakfast- Wanton Mee Soup

Ling tucking into her Thai pineapple rice. She looks happy but is actually very disappointed coz she was expecting that pineapple rice would be placed in a pineapple.

Some pork with peanut. My sis in law ordered this. Added with what we both hated most-> Corainder

What i ordered @ the Airport- Thai Version of Carborana Spaghetti with bread crumps as the toppings.

On our last day, the 2 of us had nothing to do @ MBK and i decided to do something to my nails. Yes the design is nice. (ignore my fat fingers)

On the flight back on-> home sweet home
