Group Finance - Team Building 2010 - USS 9 Sep

Finally..after rounds of voting, months of discussion, endless changing of dates, 66 of us from Group Finance and also the ERM team went to USS on the 9 Sep 2010 on a lovely Thursday morning :). Most of us were hoping that the weather will be kind to us but it turned out to be a super sunny day and also because it was the school holidays so the place was PACKED!! For some rides, it took about 75 mins so some of us didn't want to wait. :(. But oh well..who cares about the weather not being very kind to us..we still had fun and of coz knowing the people in the team whom we don't work with often.

60 plus of us here on a bright and sunny thursday!

Initially we wanted to wrap Poh Guan up as the "mummy" but when we saw the pathetic roll of toilet paper we were given. Our decided that Winnie was a better choice coz it will take lesser toilet paper to wrap her up.

Cars are my favourites. Though not a skyline, but a vintage car looks good as well :)

While strolling to our 1st destination, we saw the 1st Hollywood mascot. Betty Boop! Her make up is super thick. But when Yaowei saw this pic, he commented "why Betty boop so skinny?"

After a short walk under Mr Sun, we arrived at our 1st destination and while waiting for our turn, its photo taking time!

This ride must have tactic one..don't look everywhere.look at a stationary item. coz will get giddy one. Me with - Whee Shin, Yen Ling, Jennifer and Sarah.

We reached our 2nd destination. It's called Ancient Egypt (if i didn't remember wrongly). The ride was fun, but only 4 of us dare to take coz its a high speed roller coaster.

We weren't allowed to bring our bags in. But thanks to Cara she brought her hp in and while queuing for our turn to take the ride. We suggested to cam whore inside.

yay! we conquered the "mummy" ride. strike a pose!

This ride only took us 15 mins to wait. It wasn't scary but it brought back child hood memories.

Like this castle feeling? It's called the far far away land if i am not wrong. Shrek's hometown.

Shrek 4D.Can you see the queue? Just taking a quick shot before proceeding for our lunch. I am FAMISHED!!

This represents 真好吃. 说真的 when you are hungry, almost everything tastes nice.

After a satisfying meal in a air conditioned place and seats as well, we went to queue for the Shrek 4D show! Idy, myself, Winnie, Sarah and Cara.

and we proceeded to this. Winnie and I chose to sit at the "wet zone" while the rest chose the "not wet zone".

these people are really stuntmen and stuntwoman and I was quite impressed by them.

An act of love. The meimei was tired and the brother piggy back her. *sweet*

While waiting for the rest @ the Shrek Shop doing their purchase, I whipped out my camera and started snapping...

I could only manage to catch Puss in Boots from afar. By the time Winnie and Myself spotted him, the queue was already cut off. *sobsob*

But I manage to ambush Princess Fiona & Shrek together with Winnie at 1 corner!

车是我的最爱 or it ranks as 1 of my top interest. Can they put the tokyo drift cars there?

Soon after Winnie and I decided to break from our team coz we wanted to "chase" after the mascots. So the 2 of us decided to stay near the walk way and "ambush" the mascots and I found Woody Woodpecker making its presence. So faster grabbed Winnie while she was shopping half way and we chase after Woody.

We were 1 of the 1st in queue for a picture with Woody. I always wondered how can a mascot endure the weather on our Sunny island but RWS really takes care of them and put them at places which don't have much sunlight.

A stall that sells ex Hollywood stuff. Includes Elvis and Marilyn Monroe.

this is the pop corn car..too bad we were heading for dinner. else i sure grab a bag. The smell of pop corn was alluring.

You know who is he? Mr Frankenstein. He super got attitude one. I wanted to imitade his pose and he beat my hand.

The team headed for dinner at a restaurant located at HarbourFront and look at our tired faces.

After a tiring Thursday, I must admit 人不认老都不行. I can remember when I was younger for a day in the sun, it only took a night's rest to recover. But right now..after a day in the sun, I took like 3 days to recover. But who cares about the tiredness and the sunburnt..it was great fun knowing people and reliving childhood :)))
