Moved into my new job on the first working day for 2011. I wouldn't simply put it as "moving into a job" but it's more like moving into a new career. Something totally different from what I was doing. Something out of my comfort zone. Been about 2.5 months here. Never took a break during the transitition and finally came February came. I longed for its arrival not only because of Chinese New Year but because I was able to getaway on a trip which I've desired for since August 2010. Thanks to Krisflyer air miles. My air ticket was free! I only needed to pay for the taxes and fuel charges. Due to the changing of my job, I didn't have the luxury of being able to really participate in planning for the trip. All thanks to Jingyi and Liyi who did the research and planning and our trip was so smooth sailing. All I needed to do was to pay. :)
On the 17.02.2011, met Jingyi and Liyi at Singapore Changi Airport T2 and happily...we departed on SQ947 to Bali!! I didn't manage to sit at the aisle because Jingyi took the window seat while Liyi took the aisle seat so that via the online check in the middle seat can be empty..and I was forced to sit the middle.
Happy faces - Liyi , Me and Jing Yi
And there is me..As usual how can i miss out 自恋 shots.
After a 2.5 hours flight, we finally reached Bali and our 4D3N getaway begins. Took a cab to our villa which was located at Seminyak. Our villa ~Heliconia~ is well located and upon our arrival and entering our villa, we were so wowed by it...
Myself and Jingyi..along the walkway in
Liyi and Jingyi along the walkway as well
Liyi and me!
Our private pool for the next couple of days.
Dipping my feet into the pool
How I wished my house have a pool like that also. It'll be such a luxury.
Taken from another angle. This is what I call 享受
The villa serves afternoon tea as well and while we were waiting for our afternoon tea, I explored our bedrooms and toilet..not too bad eh?
King size bed. ~can sleep diagonally~
The toilet as well.
while waiting for our afternoon tea
nice background. Not too bad me as well
~ice cream (chocolate and coffee) with banana, blueberry sauce, peanut and some cream.
After our afternoon tea, the 3 girls decided to head out around for some shopping.
The 3 of us playing and happily snapping @ our villa's doorstep before heading out.
After about more than an hour walk, we decided to head back to our villa because the weather in Bali is so unbearable and we were so hot and sticky and of course we dipped into the pool immediately...
what a cooling dip for the 3 of us which lasted more than 2 hours..
After showering..we headed to Kuta for our long awaited dinner -->
Myself and Jingyi. I think I look not too bad without make up.
Can you see me under the Hard Rock Guitar?
and we have Jingyi and Liyi under the Hard Rock Guitar.
~loving the interior of hard rock cafe bali~
the service was excellent and we waited less than 15 mins for our food to be done. in the mean while, we had time to snap photos so here is myself and jingyi..tired and hungry after our swim.
Liyi looks tired as well + hungry
Center stage of Hard Rock Cafe
this is what i call 复古
Our drink came in a short while. I had the healthy hot lemon tea while the 2 girls had root beer float.
Our delicious food. The portion at Hard Rock is HUMONGOUS!!! Yes of coz.we aren't able to finish our food. What's new?
After dinner we had a long walk to digest our food and also to experience Bali (Kuta) but I guess probably due to the swim and the weather..all 3 of us were very sleepy soon after and headed back to our villa and it was lights out.
Day 2 and 3 was long as we pre-arranged for tours to various tourist attractions in Bali and our day started as early as 7am (we woke up at that time) and our exploration of Bali started at 8am.
Good morning Bali!!! Looking fresh and awake while waiting for breakfast to be served at our villa.

OURS!
Waterfall taken from afar
it was more than 6 flights of stairs before we got to where we were.
coming down was easy. but the route to go back to where we came from...haiz. but look the beautiful scenery!
amazing..
There was another mini waterfall..
Liyi + Jingyi
Our tour guide for day 1 took this for us.
and this was artistically taken by our dear Liyi..
After climbing up and down that horrible flight of stairs, we adjourn to our next sightseeing spot. Pardon me that I can't remeber the exact name of the place. Just remember that its called some "Holy Water Temple"
It's some ritual thing that the people are doing. That's why they are in the water.
And the people act as my background..Bali is super hot!
Typical dressing of a Balinese woman
Look the the no. of koi fishes in the pond. There were tourists feeding these fishes.
The visitation at the temple wasn't very long and we soon proceeded on to our next destination. I kind of like our next destination because it was on high grounds and therefore it was much more cooling as well.
according to our tour guide, he mentioned that the volcano is still active.
nice clear blue water...*cooling*
with my dear liyi..
L & J with volcano..
由来一个自恋照。
See the darker portion? Tour guide told me its due to the lava..
Amazing Bali!
2 women hiding our the tree for some shade.
Had our lunch at the volcano restaurant. Had a choice to use plates or this and I chose this coz got the "feel". It was a buffet style. Costing us 70,000 Rupiah each. Food was so-so only.
The tired looking Jingyi
After our lunch...just outside the restaurant.
Take 2.
Last stop for Day 2 was the Paddy Fields... Seriously I wished Singapore had all these. Life in Singapore is all tall buildings and people rushing from appointments to appointments, places to places. In Bali, the pace is much slower..
beautiful scenary..with this greenary..that's why the people in Bali don't really wear glasses.
rice..
happy farmer :)
So hot but i look so happy!
The irrigation system at the paddy fields!
After a long day which consist of travelling and under the hot sun..we headed back to our villa. Hungry and tired and we headed our for our dinner. The good thing about our villa which was located at Seminyak was that there were plenty of food joints that are highly recommended. But the thing is all the joints are severely packed with people. Was deciding between Ultimo and Rumours as both as highly recommended. Finally..we ended up in Rumours!
Fantastic Food! Fantastic Atmosphere. Excellent customer service!
Jingyi still happily posing while Liyi eyes are half closed.
while waiting for our food.
Rumours - "Everything you heard, it's true..."
Mocha Frappe which cost less than SGD 8 and super nice!
Our food. Each of these is less than SGD 13.
Rumours is located at Jalan Kayu Aya, Seminyak Bali, 80361, Indonesia
Stay tuned for Part 2 of 2...
