~woohoo~ after a long break from blogging I am back! (if not for my mc today, I guess I hardly have time to sit in front of the laptop to blog). Sorry for those who missed me coz I was really busy. Chasing after sales everyday and also fitting into the new environment. Time flies.I have been with my new Company for almost 1.5 months. Till this very day I still love my job alot. It's not jus the $$ lah..I like meeting people. let's get back to where i left off..my Hong Kong trip that happened about 2 months back.
Day 2 of Hong Kong was spent @ Shenzhen with my Brother but before I made my way to Shenzhen..i decided to have some authentic Cantonese Dim Sum while waiting for my Brother to msg me to make my way over to Shenzhen..afterall..I am in the land of Hong Kong. Did some research on the night before of some recommended places and found this Dim Sum place near the hotel I was staying..
Piping hot.
Lo Ma Kai. Huge how to finish?
Unwrapped the Lo Mai Kai..and I know that's it..confirmed can't finished.
the old style..pushcarts.old but authentic.好复古的感觉
I missed out taking photos of the place I went but anyone visiting Hong Kong? Here's the place..
Tak Yu Restaurant
Address: 378 Shanghai Street (corner of Pitt), Yau Ma Tei (a few minutes walk from Yau Ma Tei MTR station)
After a fulfilling breakfast, I proceeded to cross the borders and met my Brother @ Shenzhen. Followed him to check in to his hotel room and gosh..the receptionist thought I was a xxx! Check out his room in Shenzhen's hotel
his bed is twice of mine and his room rates are cheaper as well.
We ran around the whole day and did some serious stuff and soon it approached dinner time and my Brother being so familiar with Shenzhen brought me to eat Seafood. Good and cheap seafood. The bad thing is, I ain't a BIG eater.
fresh and nice seafood. ~yum yum~
everything looked so nice it was hard to choose..we looked around for about 15 mins before deciding on our dishes. food was served at a reasonably fast rate and within 10 mins we got out first dish..
i insisted on this because I love mushrooms + i need vegetables.
Shenzhen local beer
tired face. of coz started travelling @ 4 place in the morning enduring a 3 over hour flight and ran errands.who won't be?
cheese lobster.
giant clams.
enjoying the lobster
the amount of lobster brother had.
the amount I had.
After dinner i made my way back to Hong Kong under the escort of Brother. As it was still early, I decided to make a trip down to Ladies Street to take a walk and as a result I bought stuff for the yet to be born princess.
bibs for the princess. whoever said blue is only meant for boys?
yellow one of the neutral color for the little one. my sis in law says it looks BIG!
and finally i ended day 2 with new hello kitty loots
Slept late on Day 2 and woke up early on Day 3 for Hong Kong Disneyland! Yes abit "sua ku" but I have never been to Disneyland. Though I have been to Hong Kong 4 years ago but never had the chance to come here cause it was such a short stay. Therefore though I was alone this time round, I wanted to make good use of this opportunity to pay Hong Kong Disneyland a visit.
hearty bowl of noodles.
Lemon tea. It just tastes different from Singapore lemon tea.
On board the Disneyland Resort Line.
even the handles are in the form of "mickey mouse"
"chip and dale" figurine in the train
~welcome to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort~
and from far you see mickey "floating" above a whale
getting closer. see the thing sticking out? that's the choo choo train in Disneyland
@ the entrance waiting to pass through the gates.
finally in.
yay! i love chasing after mascots to take photo with them and I try not to miss a single one. Truth to be told, the wait can be a long one. Well since I managed to get a chance to take shots with the mascots, that explains for 2 shots with Goofy!
the wait to take with the Chip and Dale mascots wasn't very long. fortunately.
along the main street.
Adventureland is 1 part of the Disneyland Resort. This part of the Resort is all about tribes, safaris.
Visit Tarzan's treehouse. The place where he grew up.
argh!! I hate cheetahs/leopards! but took a photo anyway :p
upon seeing this, i felt that it was so 温馨.
Meet inappropriately-dressed...TARZAN!!!! I feel shy seeing him so little-y clothed...
Other stuff that was seen in Tarzan's treehouse. stone age.
i only remember him as the "grasshopper" can someone tell me what character is this?
I'm going to pause here and come back with another post for the rest of Disneyland because there's so many more things to cover... ;) And also because I'm heading
to bed right now =)
